Civics/Government

A study of the American government.  The course will examine the founding of the United States and supporting documents, a study of the Declaration of Independence and Constitution, major aspects of federalism and republicanism, and also the election process.

A study of microeconomics and the American economic structure.  The course will examine major economic systems, determinants of supply and demand, and specific aspects of the American economy.

Geography

A study of both national and world geography.  Specific attention will be given to basic geography and cartography.  Additional emphasis will be placed on the five major themes of geography, geographic and climatological effects on society, and the influence of geography on American history and society.
